I have a five and half year old DS and 2 year old DD. I could see how you may feel a spouted sippy might be a little too young for your DS, but it's not something I haven't seen or would think was weird. My DS uses a stainless steel thremos straw cup and a stainless sports bottle mostly. I like them for the car and to avoid spills at home. He's always thirsty and looking for water during teh day. he can just go in the fridge for it. The stainless sports bottle was a newer find at Old Navy too. I gt one for DD too. It was maybe $7 and they have characters on them too. He has Angry Birds Star Wars, but the had Avengers uggs black friday and maybe Spiderman too if you are in teh market for something different.
